Risers:

Isaiah Canaan went out in style in his two games in Week #23. Averaging 18 points, 3.5 threes, 1.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals, 2.5 TOs, and 52% and 100%. On only 10.5 FGA/G and 24.7 minutes hopefully you were someone who saw top 10 value for a few games when he probably cost you nothing (Ignore the injury…)

Elfrid Payton as I’ve mentioned a few times in the past is out Rondo-ing Rondo. Massive minutes (38.6) and with stellar length it’s allowed Orlando to use both he and Oladipo in the backcourt at the same time. 11.3 points, .3 threes, 5.3 board, 9.3 assists, 3.7 steals, .7 blocks, 2.7 TOs, and 43% and 100% are pretty remarkable for a Rookie on a team that’s out of it. Top 15 value for the week makes him a major riser.

Anthony Morrow every few seasons show that pure stroke that so many have coveted. He just can’t always seem to keep it going for long stretches, but who knows if he can finally make that happen. In three games and 33.1 minutes he scored 22.3 points, 4.3 threes, 5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals, 0 blocks, .7 TOs, and 53% from the floor and 100% from the line. Massive three contributions without killing your FG% is wjy guys like Kyle Korver have put up so much fantasy value.

Fallers:

Victor Oladipo was recently on the Risers list, but with the good sometimes comes the bad. 19 FGA per game while only shooting 33.3% and only scoring 15.7 points per game, not the efficiency anyone really looks for. And while the 1 three, 4.3 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and .3 blocks are nice, not one of them is really dominant enough to outweigh that FG% drag. Peaking in at 175 for the week means in standard leagues you should have looked elsewhere.

John Wall managed 15.7 assists last week and still only topped out as a tenth rounder. The 12.3 points, .7 threes, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 0 blocks and 5 TOs per game and 41% FG% all brought him down significantly. Hopefully you were tanking TOs and going hard after assists.

Eric Bledsoe is another guy who’s points boards and assists are always pretty much there (15.3, 4, 7), but that 15,5,5 or 20,5,5 isn’t too valuable if the threes (.7), steals (1), and FG% (39%) aren’t all there. The 2.7 TOs bring the overall line done too and like Wall this puts up at top 125 which means he was ok, but just a shell of himself.
